Resilience

resilienceEvening Seminar 16 June 2018

Our evening seminars are held once a month on a Saturday evening from 5.00pm until 6.45pm.

Come and take the opportunity go gain some excellent CPD as well as meet and socialise with colleagues. We have a broad range of topics coming up and have invited speakers to come and share their ideas and enthusiasm about counselling, therapy and transactional analysis with us.

We open the doors open from 5.00pm – the seminar starts at 5.15pm for an hour and a half.  When you arrive we will offer you hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is a small charge of £5 per ticket for the seminar.

What is the Seminar About?

We often hear a definition of resilience around ‘the ability to bounce back from whatever life throws at us’.  But this definition implies that you are crushed, broken. You may also be depressed by what life throws at us and then you bounce back.  Having high resilience means that you don’t always end up in a place where you have to bounce back. High resilience is the ability to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances. This talk will discuss both academic and practical applications to improve resilience. We will be looking at taking action when our energy is high so that reserves are built. We are then ready for that point in time when we need them most.
