Evening Seminar 13 January 2018
Our evening seminars are held once a month on a Saturday evening from 5.00pm until 6.45pm.
Come and take the opportunity go gain some excellent CPD as well as meet and socialise with colleagues. We have a broad range of topics coming up and have invited speakers to come and share their ideas and enthusiasm about counselling, therapy and transactional analysis with us.
We open the doors open from 5.00pm – the seminar starts at 5.15pm for an hour and a half. When you arrive we will offer you hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is a small charge of £5 per ticket for the seminar.
What is the Seminar About?
Working with what the client finds ‘funny’ can be productive in therapy. This 90 minute seminar gives practising counsellors and psychotherapists a brief opportunity to explore client examples which illustrate the breadth of usage of humour, provides a potential framework in which to contextualise these uses, and offers for each attendee an increased self awareness of their own relationship with humour.
Presenter: Adam Calvert
Adam Calvert (PGDip, MA, MBACP) is a practising therapist in the Calderdale area with specific experience of working with suicidal clients and male perpetrators of domestic abuse. He has extensively researched the topic of humour in psychotherapy.
